I Wish I were…

1

I wish I were more like my mom.

My mom keeps a very clean, homey, neat yet comfortable house.

My mom is outgoing.

My mom never neglects to wash her face before she goes to bed.

My mom is very naive and innocent.

My mom sings in church–very loudly and off key.

My mom sews curtains, bedspreads, pillows, little felt doves, and tablecloths.

My mom has lunch with a friend once a week on the same day.

My mom takes 3 mile walks every other day.

My mom reads historical novels.

My mom still doesn’t know how to upload photos from her digital camera.

My mom does her own nails.

My mom keeps a checkbook.

My mom raves about what a good man she has.

My mom loves having her kids and grand-kids…and great-grand-kids in her home.

My mom prays with her eyes shut and her head bowed—to Jesus.

My mom doesn’t just think about what needs to be done—she does it.

My mom cans fruits, vegetables, and jam.

My mom relaxes by pulling weeds in the flower beds that she tends.

My mom bakes bread, pies, cookies, cakes, cobblers, muffins…all from scratch.

My mom has a very distinctive laugh.

My mom has always remarked that her nose and calves are too big.

My mom has always been proud of her narrow waist and toned arms.

My mom never has to think about whether or not to do the right thing—or the wrong thing.

I wish I were more like my mom.
